Job Purpose:

To operate and continuously improve the Project Management Office including organization, framework, methodologies, approaches, guidelines, processes, procedures, templates, and standards, and monitor project execution and support PMs to ensure all projects are delivered successfully using IMDT’s Project Delivery Approach and within the agreed scope, time, cost and quality.

Key Accountabilities:

  • In collaboration with the solution management team support the delivery of major projects and programs within IsDB to ensure they are executed efficiently, cost-effectively and timely.
  • Coordinate and/or assist the project manager(s) in coordinating and scheduling activities and focus on the day-to-day operations of medium-sized project, detect and manage any foreseeable delays to ensure that the project is respecting the milestones and that interdependent projects/elements are not affected.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the budget of small to medium-sized IT projects and assist the IT project manager(s) in doing the same for
    larger and more complex projects and monitor financial performance vs the budget, including purchasing, identifying unsatisfactory performance, in order to optimize the costs, keep spending with the agreed limits, and keep all the concerned aware of the anticipated costs/revenues.
  • Coordinate the implementation of a risk and issue management framework for identifying, assessing and mitigating program/project risks
    to prevent IT project interruptions and ensure timely delivery within the agreed time frame.
  • Keep track of all changes and apply appropriate updates to all related documentation and provide reliable information on time to the IT
    Reporting Specialist to prepare the weekly, monthly, and quarterly project reports that are able to give a complete status of the project status and be a base for appropriate decisions.
  • Present, during weekly status meetings, to IT management the project status by providing an overview of progress against predefined plans to
    take the right actions where necessary.
  • Engage business relationship management team to ensure the project meets success parameters through active benefit realization monitoring
    and ROI targets stated in the business case.
  • Maintain project closure documentation and benefits realization reports to review with the project key stakeholders in order to determine the
    achievement of project objectives.
  • Provide information to external consultants in line with the scope of the project and as directed, and answer queries to facilitate the progress of
    managed projects.

Academic and professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar field.
  •  Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT environment, preferably in project management with at least 1 year experience in defining frameworks and methodologies.

Skills and Necessary Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, approaches, frameworks, and standards.
  • Experience in working on project and portfolio management and tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, and Clarity.
  • Experience in defining and implementing agile-based project management methodologies.
  • Planning and Organizing skills.
  • Attention to quality and details.
  • Knowledge in projects’ related financials (S curve, P&L, costing, etc).
  • Attention to costs.
